April 11: Deadline for registering to vote in primary

April 11: Last day to change party affiliation for primary

April 17: One-stop absentee voting begins for primary

May 3: One-stop absentee voting ends

May 5: Mailed absentee ballots must be received by county elections offices by 5 p.m.

May 6: North Carolina primary

May 15: Request for second primary deadline at 5 p.m.
